چکیده

The prediction of the modulus elasticity (MOE) five species different spectrum density woods, namely, Populus × euramericana I-214 (Poplar), Fagus sylvatica L. (Beech), Quercus pyrenaica (Oak), Paulownia elongata S.Y.Hu (Paulownia) and Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine) were examined through natural frequency vibration on cantilevered beams (transverse direction) ultrasound (longitudinal direction). Cantilever are commonly used for other materials but limited information is available wood tested in this manner. A total 60 specimens with nominal dimensions 40 1200 mm3 tested, which visually graded according to UNE 56544:2022 56546:2022 as first class, finally global bending stiffness was obtained from a four-point test. Utilising data, regression model presented predict MOE. Also, Picea sitchensis Trautv. & G.Mey (Sitka spruce) has been chosen blind order validate MOE function dynamic by ultrasound. Bending strength, EN 408. In using vibrations, an r2 95.9% achieved induced technique found be slightly higher than had 93.7%.

Relation Between Static and Dynamic Modulus of Elasticity of Wood

Static and dynamic modulus of elasticity (MOE) of spruce lumber were determined under different conditions like cross head speed, bending and longitudinal vibration, and mode numbers. The characteristic time of MOE determination is introduced. Characteristic time is defined as the typical MOE determination time. Shorter characteristic times are shown to result in higher MOE values. An order of ...

Longitudinal and Transversal Vibration Response of Beams by Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA)

The useful and efficient method of Finite Element (FEM) has a drawback for dynamic analysis of complex structures, especially in the medium and high frequency range. To overcome this fundamental difficulty, application of Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) and power flow technique has been suggested. As the SEA is based on the average response of structure and statistical properties of its reson...

A Study on Non-linear Free Vibration of Cantilever Beams

Non-linear flexural vibration of beams with various boundary conditions such as hinged–hinged, clamped–clamped and clamped–hinged has been extensively studied using analytical approaches and numerical methods like FEM. A detailed review has been brought out by Rosenberg [1] and Satyamoorthy [2]. However, the investigation pertaining to the cantilever case, which is also of practical interest, i...
